We booked for the pool which they then told us was freshly painted. Open Tuesday, they said. Tuesday it was still empty.

The hotel is not bad but for the price it could be much better.

The hotel is very noisy, I couldn't sleep both nights. The bed is not comfortable and some details are missing in the room (trash bin, mirror).

Boutique hotel

Very nice boutique hotel. Very charming. Beautiful destination. Beaches are beyond nice and a short taxi ride away. Staff was wonderful. Short cheap taxis everywhere. Staff is amazing and so is the restaurant. Guillermo will take care of everything for you.

What was the highlight of Hotel Plaza Tangolunda

Great value, clean, with friendly staff

The beds were super comfy, with high quality linen. The room was really clean and opened right onto the little pool. The staff were really friendly and helpful. It was lovely to have hot water available as well.

Our air conditioning unit was kind of on its last legs and very noisy, and there aren't many places to eat in Tagolunda. Also the wifi was pretty unstable.

A bit run down hotel with a nice location next to the beaches and with friendly staff

Good location close to the beaches (we came in a car). Staff was really nice and friendly.

Our hotel room was on the base floor next to the reception. Too much noise from the people walking by outside the door, from the restaurant/bar across the pool and from the the reception itself. The room was run down and could need to have the basic fixed.

Nice off the beach hotel.

I liked the friendly staff who were eager to answer questions. It also had a small restaurant with breakfast.

Because it's off the beach, you need to walk a long way or get a taxi to the beach. The beachfront hotels don't let you use their beach unless you pay a day fee, which probably isn't a lot, but I didn't want to pay it. Just take all your own food and drink if you use that beach or taxi down to Santa Cruz where you can get whatever you need.

If we had paid a penny more, I would have been unhappy

Staff at check-in were pleasant

Restaurant was a big disappointment. Guillermo is a greedy, grasping phoney. The room was cleaned once in 6 days. There was no water in the room though it was advertised. WiFi rarely worked.
